As our nation's population continues to increase and global borders expand, the need for skilled architectural technicians to function in a support role with architects has greatly increased. Inlet Grove's Pre-Architecture Program offers talented and motivated students the necessary foundations of math and science combined, combined with state-of-the-art design tools for engineering technology including AutoCAD 14/2002 (Computer Assisted Design). Taught by industry practitioners, an emphasis is placed on the integration of academic knowledge into real-work technical skills and specialized applications. Advanced study in Applied Technology will includ the training and skills necessary to complete the AutoDESK Level 1 Certification Examination in AutoCAD 14/2002. Classes provide students with experience in the areas of residential and commercial building materials, cost estimating, architectural CAD drafting, construction methods, building codes, presentation techniques and architectural design. The curriculum provides skills, knowledge, and the preparation necessary for Inlet Grove student's to either enter the employment market at an entry-level position in architecture or related profession or continue education for a post-secondary degree in professions related to the built environment.
