Biotechnology
The Biotechnology program course works in cooperation with Palm Beach State College and provides practical, real-world education which prepares students for entry-level employment in the biotechnology industry. Biotechnology is an applied biological science that uses living organisms to create products, perform valuable processes, and solve problems that benefit mankind and the environment. This growing field offers a variety of career opportunities throughout the nation.
Culinary Arts
The hospitality industry is one of the world’s fastest growing industries and it continues to expand at a rapid pace. Inlet Grove High School of Culinary Arts and Restaurant Operations Management Program offers talented and motivated students with a platform for a career in the foodservice industry. Our challenging program is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the business environment of restaurant operations and management. We offer an onsite, student staffed and a managed restaurant as a learning laboratory.
Criminal Justice
The Riviera Beach Police Department (RBPD) runs the Criminal Justice Academy at Inlet Grove High School. The programs are designed to prepare high school students for productive employment in the criminal justice field.
Digital Design
The Digital Design and Multimedia Program is designed to train students for competitive positions in the field of digital design. Learn originality, vision and gain necessary technical skills via real-world design projects. Upon completion of the program, students will have the necessary foundation, skills and practical proven portfolio that will help them to be successful in pursuing a career in graphic design. Course instruction is guided by industry trends and introduces students to a variety of different multimedia projects, including, but not limited to graphic design, illustration, photography, and digital graphics.
Journalism
The Journalism career curriculum features an intensive foundational experience in creative writing and investigative writing. With projects including, Forecast a student produced magazine, as well as daily posts to www.GroveWatch.com, Inlet Grove students will graduate with a large variety of skills. Students will engage in multiple on site experiences with local news anchors, journalists and new media contributors to complete a well rounded experience. By the end of the program, students will also be knowledgeable on how to strategically plan, promote and produce magazines and newspapers, as well as live or taped productions. Marine Technology & Marine Science
The Marine Technology Academy learn the theory of marine engine operation and how to service four stroke, two stroke, and diesel engines. This is a very hands-on series of classes that enable students to also learn 12 volt electrical systems. Yamaha Outboard Motor Corporation has partnered with Inlet Grove High School, which will enable students to earn a very prestigious Yamaha University industry certification (Introduction to Outboard Systems). Another component of this program is learning about the ecosystem in which this field operates, through environmental and marine science classes and trips, such as fishing, snorkeling and boating.
Practical Nursing
IThe Practical Nursing students may become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) upon graduation. Our students not only receive classroom instruction, but also have the opportunity to demonstrate a mastery of skills in a comprehensive nursing laboratory. In addition, students practice direct patient care in hospital and community settings under the guidance of professional clinicians.
Pre-Architecture & Pre-Engineering
This career offers talented and motivated students the necessary foundations of math and science, combined with state-of-the-art design tools for engineering technology including the latest version of AutoCAD (Computer Aided Design) and Building Information Technology (BIM) using Revit. Taught by industry practitioners, an emphasis is placed on the integration of academic knowledge into real-work technical skills and specialized applications. Pre-Architecture students draw architectural and structural features of buildings and other structures. Pre-Engineering Students draw mechanical components and various other machine components. They may specialize in automotive, marine or aeronautical. Then students can see their components come to life using our 3D printer.
Pre-Law
The Pre-Law academy prepares students interested in careers in the legal profession by developing essential skills needed to achieve success in undergraduate college programs and careers in law, and also provides the competitive foundation for students contemplating the rigorous admissions processes in place at American Bar Association (ABA) approved law schools. The program provides an introduction into various aspects of the law and legal professions in a high–quality learning environment that challenges the students to improve their reading, writing, researching, and speaking skills. Pre-Law students will present speeches in front of the class and are encouraged to enter debate tournaments. Parental support and encouragement are required to grow great debaters!
Pre-Medical
The Pre-Medical academy at Inlet Grove Community High School is designed to introduce the many facets of Life and Health Sciences along with the world of medicine to students. Under the direction of our licensed and certified instructors, students are provided a curriculum that offers the skills, knowledge and the preparation necessary for industry employment upon graduation while continuing their post-secondary education.
Television Production
The Television Production academy students are educated in technique and equipped with the tools to become creative problem solvers and visual storytellers. From viral videos, to TV news, to Hollywood blockbusters, and everything in between, the foundation of effective production remains to be storytelling. Our students begin with learning the fundamentals of journalistic writing, broadcast scriptwriting, then move into fiction writing with a deep focus on the essentials of traditional storytelling. Studying how to best communicate visually through the medium, students gain hands-on experience with industry standard equipment and the latest software, culminating in certifications that make Inlet Grove students college ready and career prepared.
Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) Foundations
This program prepares students with the knowledge to pursue further studies and employment in jobs that will be driven by Artificial Intelligence. Fundamental knowledge in five big ideas in Artificial Intelligence: perception, representation and reasoning, machine learning, Human-AI interaction, and societal impacts of AI, AI systems and components, problems and tools that AI driven professionals need to create models and systems based on the data used for decision making.
