Chef Tammy Newman is a culinary instructor who started her career as a restaurant owner in Houston, Texas. She attended Indiana State University and Johnson and Wales earning her culinary degree and her degree as a Food Manager Professional. Chef was then recruited to be a culinary teacher by a high school principal over 16 years ago.
The hospitality industry is one of the world’s fastest growing industries and it continues to expand at a rapid pace. Inlet Grove High School of Culinary Arts and Restaurant Operations Management Program offers talented and motivated students with a platform for a career in the foodservice industry. Our challenging program is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the business environment of restaurant operations and management. We offer an onsite, student staffed and a managed restaurant as a learning laboratory.
