You must meet the following criteria:

8th through 11th grade applicants:

  • 2.0 or higher GPA
  • Scored above 25th percentile on national Norm-Reference Test in reading and math
  • Have acceptable attendance and conduct

7th grade applicants:

  • GPA of 3.25 or higher in core subjects
  • Level 3 or above in FSA English Language Arts & Level 3 or above in FSA Mathematics
  • Maturity level appropriate for high school as determined by an individual interview

Frequently Asked Questions

Our application deadline is until the end of October of every year.

Once accepted, students/parents must complete a registration packet. Our admissions department is available to assist with the specifics.

Accepted applicants will receive an acceptance letter within two weeks of their application date.

If a student no longer wants to be in a high school setting, he/she must return to their 8th grade home school. During the mandatory interview process, the grade level administrator will review the expectations and responsibilities of being a “skipper.”

All 8th grade skippers must complete an interview (face-to-face or virtual) with the grade level administrator in addition to submitting an application.

Yes, each career pathway has a different color polo shirt with the Career Academy name on it. These shirts can be purchased from our vendor at www.ibiley.com. Medical students wear medical scrubs (Navy Blue for 9th and 10th graders). Inlet Grove does not sell scrubs.

We have a Reopening Plan that follows CDC guidelines. Students are required to wear face masks and face shields on campus and on the bus. This plan is available here.

School begins at 8am and ends at 3:05pm

Our office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM until
4:00 PM. During Summer break our office is closed on Friday’s.

Yes, Inlet Grove has 16 school buses available through the school district of Palm Beach County. Tri-Rail and Palm Tran passes are complimentary for students who live outside our bussing area, which is usually south of Lake Worth.

Yes, an activity bus runs Monday- Thursday. Stops are limited.

Students will focus on one career pathway. If the student is not interested in their original selection, their parent/guardian can discuss options for switching their career pathway with the grade level administrator.

From August to December, students take four classes (one career and three core). Upon passing the classes, students gain 4 high school credits. In January, students begin four new classes (one career and three core). Upon passing the classes, they receive another 4 high school credits. 

Yes, Dual Enrollment, Early Admission and Early Graduation are options for students who meet all of the required criteria
