Inlet Grove High School of Culinary Arts and Restaurant Operations Management Program offers talented and motivated students with a platform for a career in the foodservice industry. Our challenging program is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the business environment of restaurant operations and management. We offer an onsite, student staffed and a managed restaurant as a learning laboratory.

John Sánchez

With over three decades of experience in the culinary arts, Chef John Sanchez brings a wealth
of knowledge, leadership, and innovation to every kitchen and classroom. Currently serving as a Chef Instructor at Inlet Grove Community High School’s Culinary Academy—a ProStart premiere program funded by the National Restaurant Association—Chef Sanchez is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of culinary professionals.

Chef Sanchez began his formal culinary education at SENA (Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje),
Colombia’s most prestigious culinary arts institution. He continued his professional training at
Johnson & Wales University and Kaiser University, and earned a certification in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry from Florida Atlantic University. He is also certified by the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association.

Over the years, Chef Sanchez has held leadership roles including Chef Manager, Food Services Coordinator, and Private Chef. His diverse culinary career includes experience in fine dining, private estates, country clubs, corporate catering, and school nutrition programs throughout South Florida.

Recognized for his ability to craft innovative menus, manage food costs, and maintain high
operational standards, Chef Sanchez is equally committed to food safety, quality control, and
culinary education. His passion extends beyond cooking—he strives to create learning
environments where excellence and creativity flourish.

A member of the American Culinary Federation since 2005 and certified in multiple food safety
and instructional disciplines, Chef John Sanchez continues to inspire students, support staff
development, and contribute meaningfully to the broader culinary community.
